Understanding Job Posts
The ‘Post a job’ section of your Practice Account allows you to create new job vacancy listings.
In addition to standard job specifications like the location, salary and hours required you will also be able to specify the experience and skills required for the job – this is something that no other dental recruitment portal offers and it can result in you getting more relevant applications. However, if you do not wish to specify skills and experience don’t worry – these fields are not mandatory.

The Post Job section of the Dental Control Panel allows you to create new Job Post vacancy adverts.
This section allows you to create new job vacancy listings. These fields create the job posts that potential new staff will see.
Job Title (required field):
Choose one from 17 available job titles.
Job Description (required field):
This section allows you to manually enter a full description of the job you are posting.
GDC Registered:
Select ‘Yes’ for qualified nurses and ‘no’ if you would like to employ a trainee nurse. Please note that some trainees have experience.
Job Type:
Here you can specify whether your vacancy is full-time, part-time. If you are happy to consider both part-time and full-time candidates you can select both.
Approx. Annual Salary:
You can let your candidates know of the approx. salary your practice will pay.
Practice Type:
This section allows you to select the type of your organisation (Private, NHS, Mixed, Hospital, Military)
Organisation:
If you are an individual practice or part of a small dental group you can select ‘Individual Practice’. If your practice is part of a large corporate organisation you might be able to find your practice on the drop-down list. If you have a Membership with SmileWisdom Recruitment your practice name will be added to the drop-down menu.
Dental Software:
If you require your job applicants to know a particular software your practice uses, you can specify it here.
Employment Status:
Let your candidates know if you are hiring for a permanent or a temporary position (e.g. holiday or maternity cover).
Town/City/Area (required field:
Enter job location or locations for multi-site positions (e.g. for multi-site manager or float nurse)
Post Code:
You can add your vacancy post code for your practice to appear on our interactive map.
Region:
Here you are able to select your region.
Clinical Experience – General Dentistry:
This section allows you to specifically list the experience that your job vacancy requires in this area.
Clinical Experience – Periodontics:
This section allows you to specifically list the experience that your job vacancy requires in this area.
Clinical Experience – Prosthodontics:
This section allows you to specifically list the experience that your job vacancy requires in this area.
Clinical Experience – Sterilisation/PPE:
This section allows you to specifically list the experience that your job vacancy requires in this area.
Clinical Experience – Endodontics:
This section allows you to specifically list the experience that your job vacancy requires in this area.
Clinical Experience – Orthodontics:
This section allows you to specifically list the experience that your job vacancy requires in this area.
Clinical Experience – Radiography:
